Despair
Trapped in a world of my own,
Lost in the grasp of utter despair.
My heart yearns to break free,
And let my tears flow,
Where I can release all my frustrations,
My doubts and my pain,
To numb the wound that I have within me,
To relinquish the regret that scars me deep.

Oh! How I tremble under the harsh wind!
Not of the bitter cold,
But of the immense fear and uncertainty.
It bites and tortures me at every turn,
Pulling me deeper into my despair and pain.

A light so warm and comforting,
A light to brighten my tainted soul,
To resurrect the hope
That I once had in me.
