Many, many things happen throughout the last 8 days or so. Let me go through them day by day, starting from the 14 of November, leading to 21st of November.I will upload the photos on a later post.November 14:Had a day trip on that day to prepare for our ODAC overseas camp at Bintan (1-3dec). We started at VivoCity, treked through Mt Faber, ended at Kallang. Basically, our trip was filled with several task, about 5 or 6? 1st task was at the monuments area on Mt faber, had to act out a skit base on any monument selected but... we failed lol. Problems cocked up and we gave up, disappointing huh? 2nd task was at henderson waves, still on Mt faber. We were suppose to do first aid stuff. We were given a scenario: there are 8 victims, 2 to be stretchered, 2 had eye injuries, 2 with head injuries, 2 with arm injuries. The catch here was, among each pair, 1 had to be a member of the public, while the other can be one of ourselves. Again, thanks to some screw-ups, my fault to some extent, we had aboslutely no bandages lol. We managed the stretcher fast enough, but the rest took eons. We had to dispatch 2 ppl to get bandages from Jewel Box, and while bandaging, well, many of us forgot our first aid skills haha XD Well, we had another lecture from this, coz of all the screw-ups.3rd task was at some terraces (you know, the cuts into a hill that made it look like gigantic steps). Well, our task was to be blindfolded while manouevring up and down the many steps of the terraces. Was kinda difficult tho, haha. It's not easy walking up and down steps, knowing that there are huge puddles of water here and there, and you might just slip. There was to be no physical contact, only verbal guidiance. 4th task was at kent ridge park, in some super cool playground. There were just so many fun things in the playground hehe. Anyway we had to squeeze ourselves into a small ball suspended between the spaceweb thingy. Well, we were short of time, so we ended up only having to put our feet in, and we did that in only a min, no more haha.5th task was to locate our way to mt chandu, the last stand against the japanese invasion in 1942. We made it, though it was very tiring by then. There, at the museum "reflections of Mt Chandu", where leiutanent adnan bin saidi and comrades from the malay regiment fought to a bitter end. Yea, we saw videos on the invasion, and small scenes of their death.6th task, the final task, was at kallang dragon boat association. After having a lunch at the coffee shop near our previosu task, we headed there by bus. Moderate journey, a few fell asleep. Was pretty tiring after all the tasks and treks. Well, of coz, everybody would know what we'll be doing at dragon boat association! And yea! We had dragon boating. Was my first time, so I started near the rear XD the rear wasnt so bad, really. Was pretty relaxing infact, despite our struggle to coordinate with the timings. we moved on till we were at a beach, where we dismounted. It was freaking gross! dead fishes everywhere! And guess what, we had to play this game called washing machine or sth. Everybody had to be in pairs, holding arms like a bridge, waist deep in the polluted with dead fishes water. Well, I happened to be the odd one out without the partner, therefore, I was the first to fall victim. Well the game is simple, the person without a partner had to lie face up while being transported across the 'bridge' of arms. It was easier said than done lol. They took forever to transport me! At the end of the 'bridge', the victim had to be thrown 180degrees flip into the water, thats like sooo gross! Fortunately or unfortunately, I guess i was too heavy and couldnt do a flip haha, and juz splashed into the water, but it was still...GROSSS!! We stopped after the 3rd person due to time constraint *damnnn* After that, it was a non-stop marathon towards the end. And this time, I had to lead with Eunice, ugh, so tiring.Had dinner at KFC at Suntec City with ben, johnia, xu ning, eunice and zhi lei.November 15 and 16:Kayaking at PA Water Venture on both days, directly opposite the dragon boat association lol. Kyakaing is fun, always been fun for me. =D and guess what, I did an eskimo roll!!! but sadly I didnt have a skirt to prevent me from sinking lol. We celebrated xu ning and joey bdae on the second day during lunch time at beach road. and yay, I finally got my long delayed 1 star kayaking!November 17:First day of chalet. Met around 1pm+ at Pasir Ris MRT with vincent, eugene, kenny, vivien and yixi. The bunch of us went to the foodcourt for lunch first then proceed to arcade for some time of money wasting lol. We only started shopping for stuff at around almsot 3pm, and by the time we checked in at aloha, it was almost 5pm. First day we didn't do much, preparing things, waiting for people to come. Ira and Joseph were fighting on the first day, kinda hellish, since they are the main organisers. We spend most of the evening playing PS2, watched the 7pm and 10pm TV dramas, then had a movie screening (supposed to be marathon, but they only screened one complete movie). We had pizza and self-cooked pasta for that night. by 3am+? everybody was asleep, well, besides cindy and me. We were just having a walk through pasir ris park, exploring it. Thats all we did. =X November 18:Started the walk at around 1.30am, came back at 5.30am, so tiring lol. Everybody was dead alseep by then, so we both too went to sleep. Not for long though, didn't manage to sleep properly, so I took a bath and went back to the park for a walk, all the way to the end this time, alone. Vincent and Cindy was alrdy out by then, I walked pass them but I just kept walking without stopping, was a good morning to have a nice morning stroll, didn't wanna waste it. Long walk I did, came back around 10am, my leg was very sore by then (I've walked a marathon!).Had my breakfast when I came back. Pizza leftover from the previous day and milo haha. Was feeling kinda full, so didnt go sleep right away, went to play vollyball with fanie instead. Played awhile, got bored, went arcade and the kiddy playroom. hehe it's fun! feels so kiddy haha. After that went back to chalet to attempt to sleep. Out of the 3 hours I layed on the bed, I only slept for like 1hr? And everybody was saying I was the last to wake up for that day lol! I woke up and started bugging everybody to get out to E!hub to have some fun, bowling or something. Finally we went haha, but we didnt bowled, coz many didnt have socks and it was too crowded. So the next alternative? Arcade again! Never ending arcade during this chalet lol! We played and played till around 4+pm. I had an upsetting call halfway =/ my parents just refused to let me go for the urban adventure race for UGs, sad... being the team leader, though they can still continue, I feel that I've let my team down... I've never wanted this to happen... But my parents, they just don't understand what it means to quit when you're the leader, the responsibilities that you just throw away when your members need you, it's depressing. Went back to chalet immediately after E!hub trip, played a few rounds of taitee and uno, then started up the fire for the BBQ. The BBQ was... I dunno... I wasn't really happy with it. The fire took forever to start up. The food was okay, glad people liked the food my aunt cooked alot. As for the people who turned up, disappointing... About 1/5? of my class didnt turn up, and out of all our teachers, only Mr Tan and Mr&Mrs Sarah Ang turned up. Then we had another blow, Mr Tan is most likely not our CT for next year. Well, extra people did turn up; Ira's friends. Well I don't mind them joining, for they delievered the cake for us, but some of us became uncomfotable with their presence, coz they just started drinking and drinking(our teachers were still there). So well, I told Ira and she was unhappy, and left with her friends. Ashok was another upset, I can't believe he would do such a thing...(I'm not saying what due to confidentiality) Well, Ashok's incident has shown me how irresponsible and immature the counsellors in our schools are, a bunch of good for nothing, only wearing the badge for show, but they are just a pathetic bunch without the badge. How can they even lead when they're so idiotic. After most people left, we started packing up, there were loads of leftovers, took alot of time to clean up everything.November 19:The last day of the chalet. At around 12am, after cleaning up, we took along some drinks with us to the playground at pasir ris beach, pretty far walk though. Joseph came back halfway coz he missed his last train haha, and met us back at the playground, with all his stuff on hand. We were playing around the playground, did the uber spinning wheel where people got real dizzy on it haha, then we all sat at the summit of a small hill (is part of the playground, there're slides along the hill lol) and started talking, eating, drinking, sleeping. I wasn't really happy then, so I just sat there and stared, scary people to hell lol. Slowly, one by one started dropping off, lying down on the summit. I just wanted to get away and walk on, so I did just that. Cindy followed me (thanks, I really appreciated it =D), and together, we walked to the other end of the park. We walked and walked, sitting along retaining walls and stuff. At the end part, we simply sat along the benches and just talked a little. We made it back at around 4am? where we noticed that most people were still awake, preparing more concoctions lol. So in the end, after showering and playing a lil ps2, as well as drinks, we slept, for not more than 2-3 hours. Woke up around 8+am, started cleaning up, but we didnt leave until 10.50am, coz we missed the earlier shuttle bus due to our disorganised packing lol. It was home straight after for joseph, ashok, fanie, cindy and me. The rest went for lunch together. I slept for our 12hrs and woke up at almost 2pm the following day.Well the chalet wasn't really up to my expectations, with so many upsets here and there. Being an organiser is really difficult, theres so many things that can make you angry or upset so easily, that others wont realise. Well I've learnt things from this chalet, and next time, I'll think twice bout organising such things, or if theres a next time, I'll make sure that we prepare things more wholly. Well, of coz the chalet didnt only had disappointing moments, there were a few moments that I will most likely treasure and remember for a very very long time, if not for life. Chalet rating: 2/5 November 20:Rested at home.November 21:On 21st, early in the morning, I was out with Cindy and Fanie to the zoo hahaha. Haven't been there for so long! We met at 9am, reached there at around 10.30am? We walked to every exhibit, posing and taking pictures with the animals =D It was fun simply walking around, doing this and that haha. We had lunch at KFC, and continued walking. We caught the elephant show, was kinda cool haha. We too had a walk in the fragile forest, Cindy was trying to make butterflies land on her hand by spreading the nectar on her hand haha! But none fell for it XDI headed for cineleisure after that, while cindy and fanie went back hostel. Ah well, it was our last meeting for this year sadly, coz Cindy is leaving today =/ I'm not sending her coz, well, there are people there that I'm really not familiar with, though it's not the only reason. Anyway at cineleisure, I met up with vincent, eugene, kenny, vivien and yixi, where we watched madagascar 2. Pathetic really! the show was so short! 1hr only! horrendous! though it was funny XD, it's still kinda waste of money. After the movie, we went to far east plaza where the girls were shopping(window), which really got me bothered coz there was nothing else to do there(all girls stuff) zzz, so I started whining hahaha! XD paiseh lol! had dinner at long john's there. Then went around cam-whoring lol. The decorative lights there were very nice XD. Went home after that.
