My Shining Star
In the midst of the vast Universe,
There you lie,
Shining, glowing.
Ever so radiant,
Ever so bright,
Your fire continues to burn,
Never dying.

Back on Earth I lay,
Gazing at your wonder from down below.
How I yearn to touch you,
How I yearn to grab you and pull you close.
But,
I can't.
•
We seem to be of two different worlds,
You of the heavens,
I of the earth.
Though you are far apart,
I know it's still possible to reach you.
However,
I lack the capability.
•
I am who I am,
A simple man
Of simple dreams.
I ask for nothing,
I yearn for nothing,
Except for just that single chance
To hold you close,
To hold you tight,
And be with you forever.

Afterall, you are
In thy wonderlust eyes,
A heavenly miracle.
And for that,
I shall call you:
"My Shining Star"
