dark ambiance

A Dark AmbianceNestled in the warm hues of a setting sun,
An inquisitive nose emerges from a bed of pines.
Alas! said the young hedgehog,
It's time for me to play!
He rolled through the fallen leaves,
Nibbled on cloying flowers,
Playfully flitting through the vast garden,
Chasing after his fading shadow...
And soon the darkness came,
Like a tidal wave,
It engulfed everything.
Drowning and suffocating.
Fear gripped the young hedgehog.
As he whimpered through the unforgiving night.
Where was everybody? He wondered.
Hello!~ He shouted frantically.
But,
Nobody replied him.
Dumbstruck, he cowered,
Tears falling freely down his beady eyes.
He was so lonely....
Oh, so lonely....
For hours, he huddled,
Under the embrace of a wild rose bush.
The thorns prickled him,
But all he could do was endure,
Silently.
Suddenly,
A tiny ray of light trickled through,
Caressing his body warmly.
He looked up with glimmering eyes,
And made a wish.
He wished for a glimmer of hope,
A hope of new beginnings,
A hope of warmth and happiness,
A hope for love.
Perhaps,
It's just the Dawn of a new beginning.
